DUNKIRK — Officers with the Dunkirk Police Department, assisted by agents of the U.S. Marshall’s office, apprehended Kennie Mota-Cruz, 25 on Wednesday.

It was discovered Mota-Cruz was staying in Dunkirk and was wanted by authorities in Worcester, Massachusetts, on assault and murder charges along with other related felonies. Mota-Cruz was taken into custody on South Roberts Road, near East Second Street and is being held in the Chautauqua County Jail awaiting extradition proceedings.
