The nonleague high school football game between Jamestown and Canisius will begin at 7:30 p.m., Friday at Strider Field. The start time was incorrect in a story in Saturday’s Post-Journal.

Independence Party

Incumbent Democratic Legislature District 12 candidate Beth A. Kresge trailed challenging Republican Elisabeth T. Rankin on election night 19 to 18 in the Independence Party primary. The final unofficial count for the primary election with the absentees and affidavit ballot added now stands at 21 votes for Kresge and 20 for Rankin. Kresge now will be the Democratic, Independence and Working Families candidate and Rankin will be the Republican and Conservative candidate. The election night totals were incorrect in Wednesday’s edition.

Correction

In Tuesday’s edition of The Post-Journal, Tom Erlandson was quoted in a Board of Health story as saying Chautauqua Lake has just over 1,000 surface acres. The correct surface acreage is 13,000 acres. Additionally, he said 33 streams flowing into Chautauqua Lake are major streams, not “nature streams,” as was printed.

Miriam Casselman Price is a member of the Class of 1944. Her graduation year was incorrect in an article on The Bemus Point 50+ Alumni reunion and dinner in a recent edition.

PARKS SCORES TD

Kolby Parks caught a 10-yard scoring pass from Kory Ayers in Sherman-Clymer’s Class D football game with Ellicottville-Franklinville-West Valley on Friday. Parks’ name was incorrect in a story on Page B2 of Saturday’s Post-Journal.

Steve Anderson was incorrectly identified in a photo in Tuesday’s edition of The Post-Journal titled “Appraisal Action.”
