The Veterans of Modern Warfare Chapter 20 of Jamestown, Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 865 Support the Troops Program is holding a fundraiser to raise additional funds to support local veterans and their families and to send care packages to troops currently serving overseas. Today, they will hold their second annual Steak/Clam Bake and Pool and Cornhole Tournament. The day begins at noon with music by DJ Leezle and the pool and cornhole tournaments, and food will be available starting at 2 p.m. The date and time of the fundraiser were incorrect in a recent edition.

Huber Address
On Friday, Amanda L. Huber, 32, of Jamestown, was taken into custody on an arrest warrant issued by Jamestown City Court Judge John LaMancuso. Huber was charged with one felony count of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and one felony count of third-degree possession of a controlled substance. Huber’s address was incorrect in Tuesday’s edition of The Post-Journal. She does not reside at 87 Pardee Ave. The address was incorrect in a police report sent to the newspaper by the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force.

KENNEDY – Town of Poland Seniors will meet for a pot-luck lunch Aug. 20 in the Kennedy Fire Hall. Members attending should take a dish to pass, their table service and a non-perishable item for the food cupboard. Payment for the Aug. 22 trip on the Chautauqua Belle will be collected. The cost is $25 and includes lunch. Reservations are required; contact Sally Canniff at 358-4978.
