Mayville Senior Citizens Hold Meeting
MAYVILLE – The Mayville Senior Citizens met recently with 39 members attending a potluck luncheon.
Linda Anderson, vice president, called the meeting to order. Dianne Goodrich, devotional chairperson, told three stories after giving the invocation. Later the group recited the Lord’s Prayer and Pledged Allegiance to the Flag. The secretary report and treasurer’s report were approved as given. Anderson said she sent out three birthday cards and will bring the birthday cake at the next meeting to celebrate the March birthdays. Robin Carr has agreed to be the new tour director,
The kitchen committee of Dolly Gilbert, Joyce Ayers and Bonnie Johnson was thanked.
The club will be providing Beef on Weck at the April 17 luncheon.
New members Kathy Johnston and Jeanne Sampson of Jamestown were welcomed as well as Cheryl Gustafson of Mayville. The guest was Valerie Polloni who is Anderson’s daughter.
Door prizes were won by Wanda Gustafson, Bill Tornstrom, Tom DeJoe, Chip Winchell, Cheryl Gustafson, and Dolly Gilbert. Wanda Gustafson won the lottery.
The guest speaker was Mr. Ven Blakely of the Complete Trips Groups Travel who spoke to us on the trips he is organizing for 2025.
