Jamestown High School Honors Students Of The Year
Jamestown High School officials recently honored the school’s 2023-24 Students of the Year. They are:
Emily Maggio is a freshman at Jamestown High School, and she is the daughter of Jeremy and Heidi Maggio. Emily is the Freshman Class President. Emily is involved in JV Volleyball, Varsity Softball, she snowboards, and plays travel volleyball. In her spare time she volunteers for Key Club, shops, and hangs out with friends. After graduation she plans on going to college for law.
Luke Kirschman is a sophomore at Jamestown High School, and is the son of Stacy and Jeremy Kirschman. Luke is a 3 time high school award winner, winning: an earth science award, a stock competition, as well as Student of the Year for 2024. He enjoys learning about sciences and math at Jamestown High School. In his spare time he likes to go hiking with his parents, and playing video games with his friends. After high school, he would like to go to RIT or MIT to attain a Phd in genetic engineering.
Leonardo Tehan is a junior at Jamestown High School and is the son of Christopher and Michela Tehan. Leo is a member of the JHS Wrestling Team, Ski Club and National Honor Society. He has been working part time at Wegmans for the past year. Outside of school, he enjoys playing guitar, fishing, mountain biking, and riding motorcycles. Leo’s future plans include attending college to study Biochemistry with hopes then to attend medical school to become a surgeon.
Bianca Gardner is a senior at Jamestown High School, and is the daughter of Tammy and William Gardner. Bianca is a member of the Varsity Softball team, and participated in Ski Club as well. She is also a member of Woman Choosing Action through the YWCA, a member of Real Life church and works part time at Wegmans. In her spare time, Bianca enjoys spending time with her friends, studying, and volunteering in our community. After graduation, she plans to major in Education at Saint Bonaventure University.
