Nellie Is NCCR Dog Of Week

Nellie

The Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue Dog of the Week is Nellie, a recent arrival taken in when her owner could no longer provide care for her. She is a young female mixed breed, guessed to be between 10-12 months old. Nellie never received much training before coming to the shelter, and as is true of all puppies, she needs daily training, plenty of exercise, and lots of patience while she learns. She gets along well with most other dogs, but is usually timid around them at first. She may be able to live with cats, too. Nellie loves people and craves attention and petting. Sometimes she gets a little overexcited and can be a little mouthy/grabby, but she will outgrow this behavior with time and training. Nellie loves to chew her toys and enjoys going for walks. Those with the time and patience for a young, active dog can give Nellie a look from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday at 7540 N. Gale St., Westfield. The rescue is accepting donations through July 21 for the 12th annual Dog-Gone Good Yard Sale to be held July 26-28. For more information, visit www.caninerescue.org.

Starting at $2.99/week.
