JHS Winter Guard To Host Home Show Saturday
The Jamestown High School Winter Guard will host its annual home show on Saturday at 5 p.m. in the school’s McElrath Gymnasium.
Tickets are $8 and can be purchased at the door. The performance will host 12 guards from western New York and Pennsylvania.
There will be 31 Jamestown students performing in two guards: Jamestown Express (varsity guard) and Jamestown Caboose (junior varsity guard).
Jamestown Express will travel to Dayton, Ohio, from April 12 to 15 to compete with more than 100 guards in the country at the Winter Guard International Color Guard World Championships.
“JHS has a proud tradition of excellence in WGI competition,” said director Kaitlyn Marsh. “We’re excited to host this performance for our community before we travel to compete at the world championships in April. Both guards have worked extremely hard since November and I am excited for them to have the opportunity to perform for their community!”
