Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care will host Designer Bag Bingo on returns to the Lakewood area on Tuesday, Oct. 11, at the Lakewood American Legion.

“What better way to kick of the holiday shopping season than to win a gorgeous bag for yourself or someone you love?” asked B.J. Buonaito, Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care events manager. “Buy a ticket, win a bag, and bring some color into your life this fall. You deserve it!”

One of Hospice’s most popular fundraisers throughout the year, the event will feature bags, purses, and wallets from designers like Kate Spade, Coach, Dooney & Bourke, Michael Kors, Fossil and Patricia Nash. In addition, attendees can participate in giveaways between games. Tickets are $30 each.

All proceeds from Designer Bag Bingo go to support services beyond Hospice care which is most often paid for by Medicare, Medicaid, and some private insurances. Hospice Bereavement Support, for example, is available, free of charge, to family members and friends for 13 months following the death of a loved one who passed away while on hospice care. Fundraising events help Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care continue its mission to provide specialized end-of-life care to patients, their families, and caregivers in Chautauqua County.
