Whirlybird Music and Arts Festival 2022

The Whirlybird Music & Arts Festival returns to the streets and venues of downtown, Jamestown from Aug. 10-13 featuring more than 40 bands and artists, live painting, comedy and dancing.

Headlining the festival will be Jamestown band Smackdab along with Chicago-based festival favorites, Mungion, electronic funk rockers LITZ, nationally touring indie artist Mikaela Davis, a Grateful Dead tribute by Workingman’s Dead, blues and soul with Miller & the Other Sinners, Niagara Falls psych electro rockers Grub, The Audience and the Porcelain Busdrivers. The Whirlybird 2022 lineup includes jam, funk, rock, jazz, R&B, soul, electronic, blues, groove, bluegrass, Americana and folk music.

The festival is a collection of concerts that take place at a variety of venues across downtown Jamestown with funding support from the Fund for Downtown Programming and the Jamestown Local Development Corporation.

The Winter Garden Plaza will host all age, no cover performances featuring Smackdab, Mikaela Davis, Miller & The Other Sinners, Workingman’s Dead, Porcelain Busdrivers, The Assembly, Emily Strong, St Vith and others with a beer garden sponsored by Jamestown Wine Cellar, live painting vendors and food.

The Beer Snob and Jamestown Wine Cellar will play host to Whirlybird’s ticketed evening headliners; Mungion, LITZ, Solar Circuit, The Audience, Grub, Orange Corner, and more. Evening headliner shows are limited to those ages 21 and over and require a Whirlybird Pass or cover charge to enter.

Free pop-up solo performances by the likes of rising Buffalo indie pop singer Marina Laurendi as well as Jamestown performers Adam McKillip, Kyle Gustafson, SON, Gavin Paterniti, Mike Brunacini, Harmony Dillingham and more will be happening at the Jamestown Public Market, Pearl City Hops inside the DoubleTree Hotel, 4 Below Haggy’s Bar and Grill, Labyrinth Press Co, Brazil, and Crown Street Roasting Co. throughout the festival.

The festival is sponsored by the Arthur R. Gren Co, DoubleTree, Jamestown, Jamestown Wine Cellar, The Beer Snob, Jamestown Rennaissance Corporation, Southern Tier Brewery, the National Comedy Center, and was made possible by the Fund for Downtown Programming facilitated by the Jamestown Local Development Corporation.
