The Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue Dog of the Week is Posey, who just arrived at the rescue. She was a single mother to seven beautiful pups that arrived with her, already old enough for homes of their own. Posey misses her pups very much and would love to be in a home ASAP. She is very sweet, a little shy initially, seems to be all right near some other dogs and would make a wonderful companion. The Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue is located at 7540 N. Gale St., Westfield. Visiting hours at the shelter are 1 to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The ninth annual DogGone Good Yard Sale is Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the shelter. The sale fills tents and a big building. There is also a chicken barbecue Friday from 11 a.m. until sold out for $10 including chicken, sides, dessert and a drink.
