The Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue Dog of the Week is Miss Petunia, who is known as a hugger. She’s a shelter favorite who was found as a stray and never claimed. She likes to play ball, too, and easily gives it back so she can have more fun. She might like another dog companion as she enjoys her dog buddy walks and to help show her the ropes on house training. It’s a guess that she spent her life outside before. The shelter is starting open hours May 3 from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday. There will be a maximum of two people per family/group allowed in and masks will be required.
