In lieu of the traditional Memorial Day Parade, which was canceled again this year, the Cassadaga Lakes Association announced that there will be a Boat Parade taking place Monday, May 31. Boaters should assemble in the middle lake at 1:45 p.m., and at 2 p.m., the boats will follow a parade route through the channel and around the entire lower lake. Boaters are encouraged to decorate their boats in a patriotic theme. Boaters and spectators are encouraged to deck out in patriotic gear and to show their spirit. Spectator viewing areas are along Dale Drive, Lakeview Ave., portions of Maple Ave. and at the beach on Park Ave. All boaters are invited to participate — motorized and non-motorized. In case of inclement weather, the parade will be canceled.
