The Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue Dog of the Week is Lilo, who recently arrived when his family could not give the active young male dog the attention he needed. He is a maybe a year old and appears to be a border collie mix. Border collies are considered to be an alert, intelligent, hard-working dog breed. He would prefer to be with people and keep busy, so a home where his family is around a lot is important as well as he needs to be kept physically and mentally active, perhaps with agility or obedience classes. He walks very well on a leash, really focuses on the person he is with and prefers to stay close to them. The shelter is located at 7540 N.
