In an executive order issued on Friday, May 1, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced that this year’s school budget vote and Board of Education election will take place on June 9, 2020, exclusively by absentee ballot due to the COVID-19 public health crisis. Jamestown Public Schools is mailing registered voters an absentee ballot with a prepaid return envelope. All absentee ballots must be received no later than 5 p.m. on June 9. Ballots must be delivered in person or by mail to the District Clerk. No ballot will be counted that arrives after 5 p.m. on June 9.

There are three seats up for election, each for a three-year term beginning in July 2020. There are three candidates on the ballot: Paul Abbott, Shelly Leathers and Christine Schnars.

Any questions on the budget vote or Board of Education elections?

Please email BOE@jpsny.org or call Mrs. Walter at 483-4420.
