JHS Honors February Students Of The Month

Jamestown High School recently announced its students of the month for February.

They are:

¯ Jacob Smeraldo, a freshman at Jamestown High School, is the son of Jill and Patrick Smeraldo. He is a member of the JHS Key Club and plays clarinet in the Symphonic Band. Jacob is also a member of the Varsity cross country and track and field teams. In his spare time, Jacob trains at Rocky’s Family Karate and Fitness. After graduation, Jacob plans to study in the field of science in college.

¯ Siena DeAngelo, a sophomore at Jamestown High School, is the daughter of Jonathan and Denise DeAngelo. Siena is Sophomore Class co-vice president and plays cello in the Concert Orchestra, as well as sings in the A Capella Choir. She is also a member of the girls varsity cross country and varsity track teams. In her spare time, Siena volunteers at Camp Mission Meadows and helps lead worship at her church. After graduation, she plans to attend college to study in the field of business.

¯ Ella Smith, a junior at Jamestown High School, is the daughter of Ryan and Jill Smith. Ella is the junior class treasurer, participates in several AP classes at Jamestown, and frequently volunteers in the community through Jamestown’s Key Club organization. She is also a member of the varsity volleyball team and has committed to furthering her skills as a player through opportunities such as club volleyball in Cuba, N.Y. After graduation, Ella plans to continue her volleyball career while pursuing a career in investigative journalism.

¯ Allyson Buck, a senior at Jamestown High School, is the granddaughter of Karen Buck. She is part of many school activities such as A Cappella Choir, and Madrigal Singers, varsity cross country, and National Honor Society. She also takes part in extra curricular activities such as Key Club, other volunteering, and the Jamestown High School musical. In her spare time, Allyson reads, writes original poetry, and enjoys spending time with her family. She has received honors and awards including Honor Roll, induction into National Honor Society, the Literary and Scientific Alumni Circle Scholarship, and the Personal Growth Scholarship from the Chautauqua Area Scholarship Program. After graduation, she plans to attend the State University at Fredonia to major in Childhood Education.
