JHS Announces Students Of The Month

Jamestown High School announced its students of the month for January. They are:

Megan Kubera, a freshman at Jamestown High School, is the daughter of Rebecca Kubera and Kyle Kubera. Megan is a part of the Brave Club at school and enjoys spending time at school with her friends. In her spare time Megan dances at Dancing With Victoria Performing Arts Centre. Megan would like to thank her teachers who support her, especially Mrs. Baker for helping her through her first couple of weeks at school.

Colton Cappalino, a sophomore at Jamestown High School, is the son of James and Ann Cappalino. Colton plays the trombone in the high school marching band and symphonic band, and is a tenor in the A Cappella and Madrigal choirs. He is a member of the Varsity Cross Country, Varsity Bowling, and Varsity Track and Field teams. He also performs in the Jamestown High School musical. In his spare time, he bowls in the youth majors league, is a referee and player for Jamestown Area Youth Soccer, and participates in Spartan Races. He is also a member of the Der Kobblers Car Club and a member of the Lakewood United Methodist Church. He plans on studying engineering or radiology after graduation.

Esmeralda Marie Bautista, a junior at Jamestown High School, is the daughter of Jennifer Rodriguez. Esmeralda is a student who has been on the honor roll, received an Outstanding Achievement in Reading award and enjoys art. When she graduates from school, she wants to go to college at JCC to be an art teacher or art therapist.

Sierra Owles, a senior at Jamestown High School, is the daughter of Robert and Rebecca Owles. Sierra is the Treasurer of the Chamber Orchestra, in which she plays the viola. She is also a member of the A Cappella Choir and ski club. In her spare time, Sierra volunteers in the community through Key Club and cares for the children of friends and family. After graduation, she plans to study adolescence education at JCC.
