On Sunday, Jan. 26, local restaurants and community members will weather the winter and support WCA Foundation’s SOUPer Bowl Sunday IX with tasting some delicious, warm soups at The DoubleTree of Jamestown, 150 W. Fourth St. from 1-4 p.m.

Presented by MediaOneGroup, Brad Zimmer with DJ’s Unlimited will provide the musical entertainment for the day. Approximately 12 area restaurants and caterers will donate their time and talents to create homemade soups which will be sampled by all those who attend.

“We are impressed with all of the community support over the years,” said Megan Barone, WCA Foundation director of development. “Our community is once again demonstrating its outstanding commitment to supporting a great cause.” The proceeds all stay local and benefit The Rapaport Fund at WCA Foundation, which provides funds to support UPMC Chautauqua with breast cancer care and support.

Some of the restaurants that will be joining SOUPer Bowl IX this year are; Game Time Sports Bar and Grille, Group Ther-Happy, Skinner’s Kitchen, Homestead Cafe and Catering, 3 C’s Catering, DoubleTree of Jamestown, The ChopHouse on Main, Ashville General Store, and Betsy’s 5 Corner’s.

Please join us as there will be soups to taste; voting on your favorite, a basket raffle, 50/50, and when you purchase a ticket for $10 presale or $12 at the door for adults or $5 presale or $6 at the door for children 12 and under, you will be entered into a drawing to WIN a 32″ LED television set. You won’t want to miss this exciting opportunity to see what kind of soups the restaurants bring to battle it out to become the winner!
