Members of Southwestern Central School’s Student Council recently chose the United Way of Southern Chautauqua County as their agency of choice to give a $500 donation.

Every dollar from every homecoming dance ticket sold and donations during Spirit week, have generated the student gift.

“We are so honored and grateful for the support of Southwestern Schools in general, and when the students truly understand and value the impact of the work we do, it’s inspiring,” said Amy Rohler, United Way of Southern Chautauqua County executive director. “One aspect of our campaign theme for this year is encouraging people to be faces of change. Clearly these young people are just that.”

Southwestern Central School collectively has generated more than $3,500 in donations this year to be invested back into the community.

All donations stays in southern Chautauqua County. To donate, make checks payable to United Way of Southern Chautauqua County and mail them to 208 Pine St., Jamestown, NY 14701, or visit uwayscc.org and click on the donate button.
