PVCS Voters OK Capital Project

SOUTH DAYTON — Residents in the Pine Valley School District have approved their proposed Capital Improvement Project on Tuesday.

The unofficial result was 146 yes and 45 no.

The Capital Improvement Project is designed to address important repairs, renovations and improvements to district buildings and grounds that will improve safety and security at the school and enhance instructional programs. Much of the project includes cost-saving energy upgrades, instructional improvements, and state-mandated health and safety requirements.

The total cost of the proposed Capital Improvement Project is $9,887,212.

With this approval the project will have no additional tax impact. It will be funded by a combination of state aid and the district’s capital reserves.
