Sinclairville Senior Citizens Meet For Fall Season Luncheon

SINCLAIRVILLE — Members of the Sinclairville Senior Citizens met at the Sinclairville Fire Department dining room for a luncheon and meeting.

President June Whipple welcomed all to the fall gathering. Pastor Phil Shay led all in a blessing prior to the meal. Festival fall table decorations were provided by Betty Wielgasz and Linda Parmenter.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read by secretary LouAnn Smith. John Sipos led all in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Treasurer Charles Sylvester gave the financial report of the organization. The list of those celebrating a birthday and those celebrating an anniversary was read by sunshine chairman Wielgasz.

The birthday song was sung to Carol Hetrick and the anniversary song sung to Jim and Carolyn Hendrickson. New members Fred and Jane Wing were welcomed.

Whipple told about attending the United Senior Citizens Council. Diman Smith talked about a 39-year-old shirt from his lacrosse team and the special baseball hat worn in a tournament.

Meeting prizes were awarded by Whipple. Recipients included Russell Delahoy, Ray Wood, Hetrick, Martha Harmon, Terry Fox, Smith, LouAnn Smith, John Sipos, Diane Shaw, Jim Hendrickson, Linda Ivett, Jaymi Clark, Jane Wing, Bonnie Larkin, Wielgasz and Parmenter.

The next luncheon meeting will be on Tuesday, Oct. 8, at noon in the dining room. All those attending are asked to bring a dish of food to pass and their own table service. The guest speaker will be Chautauqua County Executive George Borrello.

Table decorations will be provided by Delahoy and Lori Polizzi. New members are always welcome.
