Library Set To Host Local Events

The James Prendergast Library will host several public events in the coming weeks.

On Sept. 24, the library will celebrate the unofficial “Voter Registration Day” holiday, with additional computers available throughout the day for voter registration and research and staff on hand to help answer questions. The library has voter registration forms available on an ongoing basis.

On Sept. 25 at 4 p.m., the library will offer a free disaster preparedness workshop run by the American Red Cross. The class is free and open to all ages.

To register, call the library’s Information Desk at 484-7135, ext. 225. Drop-ins will also be welcome as space allows.

Also on Sept. 25, Rite Aid Pharmacy will be offering free flu shots at the library from 3 to 5 p.m. No sign-ups are required.

For more information, call the Information Desk at 484-7135, ext. 225. The library is open at 10 a.m. Monday through Saturday. Closing time is 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 5 p.m. on Friday and 4 p.m. on Saturday. For more information, visit the library’s Facebook page or visit prendergastlibrary.org.
