Bemus Point Fall Fest Begins Friday

BEMUS POINT — Bemus Point will host its annual Fall Fest Friday through Sunday with a street market with vendors and sidewalk fare, a petting zoo, open houses, live music, seasonal food and drink specials at the restaurants, Draw-a-Leaf Discounts at the stores and fireworks.

The street market will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Specialty vendors will sell locally made goods, food and artwork. There will also be live music along the jmarket on Saturday, sponsored by Southern Tier Brewing. Dan Vogan will be performing from noon to 2 p.m. followed by Brown Dog Acoustics from 2 to 5 p.m. Bands will also perform in local restaurants, with DJ XCite providing music starting at 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Village Casino.

There will also be a classic car and motorcycle cruise-in and chicken barbecue at the Bemus Point Golf Club and Tap House on Saturday from 2 to 7 p.m. There is no charge to participate.

The petting zoo will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday across from the Bemus Point Fire Hall. Children will also be able to get their faces painted by Tina Paints on Main Street.

The Bemus Point Golf Club and Tap House will be hosting a firework show at 8 p.m. Saturday followed by a “Shot in The Dark” nine-hole glow-in-the-dark golf tournament. Pre-registration for the golf tournament is required.

There will be overflow parking available at the Bemus Point United Methodist Church, 4954 Bemus-Ellery Road, with transportation provided by the National Comedy Center shuttle bus from noon to 6 p.m.
