World Series Of Wheels Will Be Held July 28

The Babe Ruth World Series Board of Directors will host the 36th annual World Series of Wheels on Saturday, July 27, at Bergman Park on Baker Street, Jamestown.

In case of rain, the show will be held Sunday, July 28. The major sponsor is Dave Warren Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.

The World Series of Cars was started in 1984 as a way to help defray the expense of hosting a Babe Ruth World Series in Jamestown and was one of the premier shows for antique judged cars. Over the years the show has evolved into the newly formed World Series of Wheels to reflect all vehicles. In 2019, the show is adding power sports vehicles and will have an expanded vendor area and childrens’ activities.

The series has helped pay expenses for Jamestown to host 17 Babe Ruth World Series events from 1980-2018. In addition to the car show the committee will host a 13-Year-Old World Series in 2020, which will be the 40th anniversary of Babe Ruth World Series in Jamestown. Each one of the series has showcased young baseball talent from all over the United States in addition to bringing a very significant economic boost to the Jamestown area.

The 2019 World Series of Wheels will be a participant judged show. Registration forms for vehicle entry and the craft and vendor fair are available at jamestownworldseries.org.
