For the past 72 years, the Mayville-Chautauqua Lions Club has provided support to the local communities. The club conducts a variety of service projects and events, including collecting used eyeglasses and hearing aids, helping at the local food pantry, providing free vision screenings for children six months through 12th grade, paying for eyeglasses and eye exams for children and adults in the area and purchasing adaptive watches, white canes and reading devices for visually impaired residents. The Lions also honor local outstanding students that exemplify the qualities of future Lions through the Junior Lion Program and Senior Awards. Lions raise funds to support these and other worthy causes through the annual spaghetti dinner, Lions mint sales and basket giveaways.

The Mayville-Chautauqua Lions Club meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. at Webb’s.
