Fourth Of July Displays Set In County

Fireworks displays will be included at several Fourth of July events across Chautauqua County. The following is a list of local festivities:

TODAY

SILVER CREEK — A fireworks display will take place at dusk at Borrello Park.

THURSDAY

DUNKIRK — Music on the pier will be provided by Fallen Union from 3-6 p.m. The band Black Diamond will begin its performance at 6 p.m. until the fireworks show just before dusk. Free parking will be provided and vendors will be available at Memorial Park.

FINDLEY LAKE — Before noon, the Firemen’s Chicken Barbecue will be provided for dine in and take out options. The annual Duck Race will return around noon near the Waterwheel. At 2 p.m., Findley Lake’s Boat Parade will again feature on the body of water. Live music begins at 7 p.m. at the Gazebo with flare rings lighting up the lake beginning at 9:30 p.m. ahead of the fireworks show at 10 p.m.

MAYVILLE — Mayville will hold its annual Chautauqua County Independence Day Celebration beginning with a parade at 10 a.m. Activities, events, food and live music will again be present at Lakeside Park following the parade. A fireworks display will begin around 10 p.m. accompanied by flares around the lake.

LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood Fourth of July Summerfest will again be held in the village. From noon-4 p.m., free sailboat rides will be offered. From 1-1:30 p.m., a Lakewood Police Department K-9 demonstration will be given. Music will be provided by Qwister from 6-10 p.m. From noon-10 p.m., there will be street sales on Chautauqua Avenue where vendors will offer various foods, gifts and crafts. At 10 p.m., fireworks will be on display provided by Zambelli Fireworks.

¯ BEMUS POINT — Fourth of July festivities will include live music and fireworks.

FRIDAY

¯ CLYMER — “Fireworks at the Peak” will take place at Peek’n Peak Resort. “Watch the skies of Peek’n Peak light up with color across the entire resort,” the resort said on its Facebook page. The free fireworks display is sponsored by the Scott Family of Scott Enterprises, owners and operators of Peek’n Peak Resort.

SATURDAY

MAPLE SPRINGS — Continuing with tradition, Midway State Park will hold its Independence Day Celebration with rides and attractions open from noon-10 p.m. Fireworks will be on display from about 10:15-10:45 p.m.
