‘Food Truck Rodeo’ Planned In Mayville

MAYVILLE — Chautauqua County Executive George Borrello has announced a Food Truck Rodeo is planned today from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lots of the Gerace Office Building at 3 N. Erie St. in Mayville.

During the event, three local food trucks will be on site to provide county employees and the public with the opportunity to purchase a quick meal during the lunch hour. The event will happen rain or shine and the public is welcome to attend.

“Our Weekly Food Truck Day, which features one food truck every Wednesday on our Mayville campus, has been very popular this summer,” said Borrello. “While there are some great food options in Mayville, it can be difficult for some people to grab a quick lunch with the over 1,000 employees and visitors our Mayville County Offices see on a daily basis. With input from my Citizens’ Advisory Committee, we have had a successful summer so far and this Food Truck Rodeo is a great way to celebrate.”

Scheduled to attend are three food trucks from the area who have previously participated in the Weekly Food Truck Day. Trucks include: Kev’s Kitchen, which features Cajun food such as jambalaya, gumbo and Shrimp Po Boys; Siri Thai Cuisine, which serves Thai food such as Pad Thai, garlic chicken, and spring rolls; and Moo Cheesy, which provides gourmet cheeseburgers and grilled cheese.
