Siverling Announces Candidacy For Clymer School Board

CLYMER – Carole Lictus Siverling has announced her candidacy for a seat on the Clymer Central School Board of Education. A lifelong resident of Clymer, Siverling graduated from CCS in 1975. She worked for the CCS school district for 31 1/2 years before retiring in 2015.

“I feel I have the experience, knowledge and overall insight of the daily workings of the school board to be a valuable member of the Clymer Board of Education. The knowledge will benefit the students, staff and community members,” Siverling wrote in an email to The Post-Journal.

Siverling is running against the current board member Willow Neckers and Jordan Wade, who is running a write-in campaign.

She worked as a substitute teacher aide, teacher aide, main office secretary and secretary to the superintendent and was employed as the District Clerk for 20 years.

Her work allowed her to be involved in building projects, the yearly budget process and negotiations.

Additionally, she was a member of the Clymer United Methodist Church and the Town Clerk for the Town of Clymer for eight years.

“I hope that the Board of Education can work together to do what is best for the students of Clymer Central School,” she said. “I am asking for your support on May 21st.”
