Reg Lenna To Screen ‘Green Book’ On Wednesday

The Reg Lenna Center for The Arts will show the Best Picture winner, “Green Book” at 7 p.m. Wednesday,

Admission is $5. The film stars Best Supporting Actor winner Mahershala Ali with Best Actor nominee Viggo Mortenson. “Green Book” also won the Best Original Screenplay award.

In “Green Book”, Dr. Don Shirley is a world-class African-American pianist, who is about to embark on a concert tour in the Deep South in 1962. In need of a driver and protection, Shirley recruits Tony Lip, a tough-talking bouncer from an Italian-American neighbourhood in the Bronx. Despite their differences, the two men soon develop an unexpected bond while confronting racism and danger in an era of segregation. “Green Book” is rated PG-13 and is 130 minutes long.

Upcoming Movies at The Reg include the World War I documentary “They Shall Not Grow Old” with free admission for veterans and active duty service members on Wednesday, April 3, at 7 p.m. and “The Lego Movie 2” on Friday, April 19, at 7 p.m., as a sensory friendly screening Saturday, April 20, at 2 p.m. and as a weekday matinee Wednesday, April 24, at 2 p.m.

Tickets are available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday at the ticket counter within the 3rd on 3rd Gallery, 108 E. Third St., by calling 484-7070 or online at reglenna.com. Tickets are also available at the Reg box office one hour prior to showtimes.
