‘She Kills Monsters’ To Be Held At JCC

Jamestown Community College’s production of “She Kills Monsters” will feature JCC students as well as community members.

The dramatic comedy, directed by Adam Owens, will be presented at 7 p.m. March 15-16 and 22-23 and at 2 p.m. on March 17 and 24. Tickets are available through JCC’s box office, 338-1187.

JCC students in the cast include Alivia Roehrig, Skyler Dunlap, Titus Miller, Autumn Shuskie, Marissa Skinner, Victor Fernandez, Jessica Mack, and Lux Woolson. Other cast members include Kristina Benson, J. Alex Connor, Rycheigh Allan, Chloe Kilmartin, Caitlin McCall, Don Hill, LeighAnne Shaffer, and Ashley Farnham.

“She Kills Monsters” explores the world of fantasy role-playing games. As she leaves her childhood home in Ohio following the death of her teenage sister, Tilly Agnes Evans finds Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook. She stumbles into a journey of discovery and adventure in the imaginary world that was Tilly’s refuge.

The play was written by Qui Nguyen, co-founder of the OBIE Award-winning Vampire Cowboys Theatre Company. “She Kills Monsters” won the distinguished play award in 2014 from the American Alliance for Theatre and Education.
