Frewsburg Native Graduates From Officer Candidate School
On Nov. 17, Michael B. Miller graduated from Officer Candidate School in Quantico, Va.
Miller is a second lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps and was pinned by his grandfather, David J. Miller, a Vietnam veteran, of South Valley. It was a proud day for Miller after completing a rigorous training program. He was a former student at Frewsburg Central School and was on both the football and swim team graduating in 2013. Miller also graduated from Alfred State College in 2017 with a bachelor degree in construction. While completing his last two years of college on line, he also worked a full-time job at Fancher Furniture in Falconer in a supervisory position.
Miller and his wife, Sarah, are now residing in Stafford, Va. Miller will be serving his country for eight years.
