Reg Lenna Center To Screen ‘A Star Is Born’ And ‘First Man’

“A Star Is Born” and “First Man” to screen at the Reg Lenna Center for The Arts.

The Lady Gaga-starring music drama “A Star Is Born” will show Saturday at 8 p.m. at the Reg Lenna Center for The Arts. Ryan Gosling stars as astronaut Neil Armstrong in “First Man” showing Wednesday at 7 p.m. Admission is $5.

“A Star Is Born” stars Lady Gaga, director Bradley Cooper and Sam Elliott. Seasoned musician Jackson Maine discovers, and falls in love with, struggling artist Ally. Ally has just about given up on her dream to make it big until Jackson coaxes her into the spotlight. But even as Ally’s career takes off, the personal side of their relationship is breaking down as Jackson fights an ongoing battle with his own internal demons. ” A Star Is Born” is rated R and is 134 minutes long.

Oscar-winning director Damien Chazelle and star Ryan Gosling (both from “La La Land”) reteam for “First Man”, the riveting story of NASA’s mission to land a man on the moon, focusing on Neil Armstrong and the years 1961-1969. A visceral, first-person account, based on the book by James R. Hansen, the movie will explore the sacrifices and the cost — on Armstrong and on the nation — of one of the most dangerous missions in history. “First Man” is rated PG-13 and is 142 minutes long.

Upcoming Movies at The Reg include a 35th anniversary showing of “A Christmas Story” on Saturday, Dec. 1, at 2 p.m., and two showings of the animated family feature, “Smallfoot” on Friday, Dec. 7, at 7 p.m. and a sensory friendly screening Saturday, Dec. 8, at 2 p.m.

Tickets are available Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the ticket counter within the 3rd on 3rd Gallery, 108 E. Third St., by calling 484-7070 or online at reglenna.com. Tickets also available at the Reg box office one hour prior to showtimes.
