The Winifred Crawford Dibert Boys and Girls Club of Jamestown is set to begin another year offering adult programming.

The club will reopen for adults on Tuesday, Sept. 4. For the first week, open swim will be available Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Friday from 7 a.m. to noon for adult members. The gym and weight room will be available for adults on Tuesday and Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. On Wednesday and Thursday adult gym and weight room hours are 7 a.m. to noon.

Thursday, Sept. 6, will also be the club’s first family night for fall. Family nights are from 6-9 p.m. Thursdays. Parents and children must come together and stay together. The swimming pool, gym, computer room and game rooms will be open. Family night is free for members and $1 for non-members.

ADULT LEARN-TO-SWIM

The next session of Monday Adult Learn-To-Swim Classes begins Sept. 10 and ends on Nov. 5. All classes meet on Mondays and there are no classes on Oct. 8 due to the Columbus Day holiday. The non-swimmer/beginner class is at 10 a.m. and the advanced beginner class is at 10:45 a.m.

ADULT WATER AEROBICS AND ARTHRITIS SWIM

The Adult Water Aerobics/Arthritis Swim Classes next session will begin on Wednesday, Sept. 5, and end on Friday, Oct. 12. The six-week sessions run on Wednesdays and Fridays each week. Water aerobics are from 1-1:50 p.m. Wednesdays and noon to 12:50 p.m. Fridays. Participants do not need advanced swimming skills. Arthritis swim is from 2-2:50 p.m. Wednesdays and 1-1:50 p.m. Fridays and is a light, low impact water exercise program to help improve flexibility and range of motion.

The cost is $30 for members and $60 for non-members for each program. Adult memberships may be purchased for six months and cost $60 for six months or $100 for one year. The club accepts some Univera and Independent Health insurance plans.
