Annual Bemus Point Library Book Sale Begins Friday

Volunteers are pictured organizing books for the annual Bemus Point Library book sale.

BEMUS POINT — The annual Bemus Point Library book sale will be held Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The hours Saturday will also include a bake sale.

Books of fiction and non-fiction for adults and children will be on sale along with CDs, DVDs, puzzles, hard cover books, paperback books and more. For a special feature this year, patrons may purchase a canvas library tote and fill with books, all for $25 as long as the totes last. The bake sale on Saturday will feature pies, cookies, fudge, brownies, sweet breads and more.

The Bemus Point Library was formed by Mrs. Elizabeth Bemus opening in December 1908. The library moved to its current location, 13 Main St., Bemus Point, 1968. The book sale has been an important annual fundraising event for many years.
