The Jamestown Area YMCA held its premier youth fundraising event of the year, the Final Four Viewing Party and Raffle, at the Hotel Jamestown Crystal ballroom on March 20.

Event attendees were treated to a superb buffet-style dinner (catered by Honest Johns restaurant), free beer and wine, and watched the NCAA Final Four games in style on four 50-foot HD TV’s and projected on a 8-by-10-foot large screen by a HD projector. More than $29,000 was raised to support YMCA youth programing in the area. Event management and support services were provided by Eventz by Scott.

“This event was a great success,” said Christopher Blakeslee, the marketing and development director for the Jamestown Area YMCAs. “This event is instrumental in helping the YMCA support youth programing in the area.”

The winners at this year’s event were: first place, $5,000 Rolland and Jane Kidder; second place, $1,500 Linda Melquist; third place, $1,000 James Herron; fourth place, YMCA Free 1-Year Adult Membership Megan Rauh; fifth place, two Buffalo Sabres tickets, Greg Deppas, Andrew Stronz and Rachel Anderson.
