Incubator To Hold Startup Workshop

Dale Canning

FREDONIA — As part of its Entrepreneurial Education Program, the Fredonia Technology Incubator will feature a “Business Plan for Startups” workshop from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday.

The workshop will feature guest speaker Dale Canning, co-founder of Premier Technical Services.

Canning is a Rochester-based consultant in business and technical communication as well as learning and development. He has been the co-founder and chief executive officer of Premier Technical Services, Raland Technologies and Raland Therapeutics, a medical device startup company. Throughout his career Canning has focused on articulating value in business development roles and as a principal author of business plans. He also teaches leadership and team building, mentors startups and is active in the Rochester venture community as a connector.

The workshop will be an interactive environment that focuses on defining and articulating value in venture media and across organizations. The presenter will provide guests with the tools and knowledge necessary to create excellent business plans and value propositions for investors and clients.

“Startups must become experts at creating value for their prospective investors, and their customers,” Canning said. “They have to develop a company-wide language and culture that supported well-vetted value propositions.”

The Incubator is located at 214 Central Ave., Dunkirk. The event is free and open to the public. Guests can register at ftibusinessplanworkshop.eventbrite.com.
