Reg Lenna To Show Film Today

Blue Moon will be shown at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Reg Lenna Center for The Arts. Ethan Hawke stars as Broadway lyricist Lorenz Hart in Richard Linklater’s Blue Moon. On the evening of March 31, 1943, Hart confronts his shattered self-confidence in Sardi’s bar as his former collaborator Richard Rodgers celebrates the opening night of his ground-breaking hit musical “Oklahoma!”. By the time this night is over, Hart will have confronted both a world that no longer values his talent and the seeming impossibility of love. Blue Moon is rated R and is 100 minutes long. Upcoming Movies at The Reg include the Christmas-set romantic comedy Baltimorons (Dec. 19 at 7 p.m.) and a special engagement showing of the historical war/legal drama Nuremberg (Jan. 30 at 6 p.m.) followed by a live conversation with the author of “The Nazi and the Psychiatrist – Jack El-Hai, presented in partnership with The Robert H. Jackson Center.

Pairs And Spares to Meet Dec. 6

KIANTONE – Pairs and Spares will meet Saturday, Dec. 6, at 6 p.m. for a potluck dinner at the Kiantone Congregational Church in fellowship hall. Decorating the church and singing carols will follow. All are welcome.

Audubon Story Time To Be Held Sunday

The stories and admission are all free for First Sunday Story Time at Audubon Community Nature Center on Dec. 7 for children between 2 and 8 and their adults. Doors open at 12:20 p.m. for the 12:30 to 1 p.m. event. The building is fully open at 1 p.m. Reservations for Story Time are requested by Saturday, Dec. 6. To reserve a space, call the Nature Center at 716-569-2345 or go to AudubonCNC.org/December-First-Sunday. Participation is limited to 15. Walk-ins are welcome if there is room.

Valley Historical Society To Meet Today

SINCLAIRVILLE – The Valley Historical Society will meet Tuesday, Dec. 2, at 6 p.m. at the Charlotte Center Church for its monthly meeting. The address is 66942 Charlotte Center Road in Sinclairville. The meeting will be the annual Christmas dinner. All those attending are asked to bring a dish of food to share and their own table service. The business meeting will be to discuss future activities and speakers for the next year 2026. Election of officers will take place. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Harmony Senior Citizes To Meet Dec. 4

PANAMA – The Harmony Seniors will meet at noon Dec. 4 at the Panama Methodist Church. The ham is being donated by Tom Smith in memory of his wife, Beverly, who was a former president of the Harmony Senior Citizens. Members are to bring their favorite Christmas side dish and their own table service. Hosts include Dottie Enlow, Gary Enlow, Dorothy Erickson, Janice Hinterberger and Barb Potter. Members are reminded to bring canned goods to be donated to the Panama Food Pantry. Donny Keller will provide Christmas music with members being asked to join by singing.
