Frewsburg School Board To Meet Thursday
FREWSBURG – The Frewsburg Central Board of Education will hold its regular meeting on Thursday, Dec. 11, at 6:30 p.m. in the middle-high school library. The public is welcome to attend.
Infinity To Hold Holiday Art Market Saturday
Infinity Visual and Performing Arts will host its eighth annual Holiday Art Market on Saturday, Dec. 13, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at both the Infinity Center, 301 E. Second St., and the Pearl City Clay House, 220 E. Second St. In addition to vendors, inside the Infinity Center families can purchase activity tickets for face painting, a student and family craft station, gift wrapping and basket giveaways. Concessions will also be available for sale. All money raised supports Infinity’s mission and year-round programming; private lessons, group classes, instruments, performance opportunities, and equitable access support for local families. At the Pearl City Clay House, those interested can take part in walk-in Paint Your Own Pottery and Bucket Projects, a free paint-your-own tile activity for the studio’s collaborative mural wall (while supplies last), the 100 Gifts Under $100 Gallery Show, a curated artist retail shop and discounted $20 mini-classes with advance registration. Sponsors include Three Sixty Graphics, Saxton Kocur & Associates LLP, Chautauqua Institution, Fessenden Laumer & DeAngelo, Courier Capital, Wegmans, Greater Chautauqua Federal Credit Union, and Axiom.
First Lutheran To Host Christmas Programs
The First Lutheran Church will have a combined 10 a.m. worship service in the church nave Sunday, Dec. 14. There will be a special Youth Sunday School Program entitled “A Christmas Celebration” with Kimberly King, worship leader and coordinator of contemporary worship, as the accompanist. The First Lutheran Choir will sing “Springs in the Dessert” by Arthur B. Jennings, for the offertory, directed by Brian A. Bogey, organist/choirmaster. A reception will be held in the church parlors immediately following the service. The public is welcome to attend.
County Ethics Board To Gather
MAYVILLE – The Chautauqua County Ethics Board will meet at 9 a.m. Monday, Dec. 15, in Room 333 of the Gerace Office Building, 3 N. Erie St., Mayville. Current members of the board are John Hamels, Diane Hannum, and Stephanie Stevens. Marvin House To Hold December Luncheon
The Marvin House will host its December luncheon on Thursday, Dec. 18, at noon. The Jamestown High School Madrigal Singers under the direction of Lauren Scharf will perform holiday classics. The menu is a stuffed chicken breast with a cranberry orange relish, toasted butternut squash, green bean casserole, vanilla ice cream with creme de menthe, coffee and tea.
