Sinclairville Library To Host Ukulele Jam

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Sinclairville Free Library announced that the performance to be offered at the library by the Cassadaga Valley Central School Jazz Ensemble that was scheduled for Thursday, May 25, has been postponed. Village Board To Hold Special Meeting

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Sinclairville Village Board will hold a special meeting at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 25, in the village office, 8 Lester St., Sinclairville. All those interested are welcome to attend.

Hospital To Have Blood Drive

UPMC Chautauqua will host a Community Blood Bank blood drive from noon to 5 p.m. Friday, May 26. Blood donations are necessary in helping patients by providing them with the blood components needed in various medical situations, ranging from emergencies to chronic conditions. There is a need for all blood types, especially type O blood which is commonly used in emergency care. Call 814-456-4206 to schedule your appointment to donate. Appointments are encouraged to reduce wait time but are not required. Walk-ins will be taken as space allows. Community Blood Bank partners with hospitals in Northwest Pennsylvania and Western New York to provide blood for patients in need. Donors must be at least 17 years of age, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be in good general health. Donors must also a valid photo ID in order to donate. BPU Announces Memorial Day Schedule, Hours

The Jamestown Board of Public Utilities is closed on Monday, May 29, for the Memorial Day weekend.

In addition, garbage and recycling employees will not be collecting on Monday.

Due to the holiday, Monday’s garbage and recycling collection will be delayed until Tuesday, May 30. In the same way, Tuesday collection will be delayed until Wednesday; Wednesday collection will be moved to Thursday; Thursday to Friday; and Friday collection to Saturday.

The Yard Waste Site, 1001 Monroe Street, however, will be open for its regular 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 27, hours even though Monday is a holiday.

Customers who need to pay bills after-hours are reminded that online payments may be made by credit card, debit card and e-check at www.jamestownbpu.com . Telephone payments may be made by calling 661-1660, ext. 3, with credit card or debit card.

Customers also may leave checks or money orders in drop-off boxes located in the BPU Parking Lot across from the Customer Service Office, 92 Steele Street; outside City Hall on Tracy Plaza; and in the Jamestown Police Department vestibule. Payments left after-hours should only be made by check or money orders with identification on the payments.

For reports of trouble in all BPU Divisions, all hours, customers may call 716-661-1640. During regular business hours, such calls may be made to Customer Service at 716-661-1660.
