PINK Light Bulbs Are Now For Sale

The Breast Cancer Support Group of Jamestown now has PINK light bulbs for sale. They can be purchased at Farm Fresh Foods on West Third Street, Jamestown; Clymer Clymer Hardware in Clymer; Ashville General Store in Ashville; Falconer Vac Shop in Falconer; Crouche’s Garage in Panama; the VSK Emporium in Frewsburg; Andersons Produce in Stillwater; or by calling Pat Carr at 716-490-4545. The cost is $4 each.

Annual Book Sale To Be Held On Saturday

FREWSBURG — The Myers Memorial Library is having its annual book sale on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. during the Frewsburg Sale Days. Fill a bag for $5. There will also be a bake sale, and hot dogs and drinks available for sale.

Fourth Annual Back 2 School Giveaway To

Be Held On

August 27

Los Contrincantes Car Club and Bike Crew will hold their fourth annual Back 2 School giveaway starting at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at Lillian Dickson Park on Falconer and Bowen streets, Jamestown. In 2021, the club donated 350 backpacks full of school supplies. This year teaming up with club members are The Releaf Market and J&J Details and Maintenance. Children must be present to receive their back to school supplies. The giveaway will continue while supplies last.

St. Susan To Host Sunday Family Funday Event

St. Susan Center is hosting Sunday Family Funday from noon-3 p.m. Aug. 28 at Southern Tier Brewing Co., 2072 Stoneman Circle, Lakewood. Live music will be provided by The Untouchables. Food will include a hot dog or sausage, a side and dessert. There will be free kids games with a chance to win prizes, a cornhole tournament and a raffle. The cost is $30 for adults over 21 and $10 for those under 21. For tickets, call 716-664-2253 or email director@stsusancenter.org. All proceeds will benefit St Susan Center.

Reflections Of The King

Competition To Be Held

October 7-8

WESTFIELD — The 2022 Reflections of the King competition will be held Oct. 7-8 at Moose Lodge 118 in Westfield. Money raised will benefit the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Ina ddition to the Elvis competition, there will be giveaways, a Chinese auction, 50-50 giveaways and Elvis memorabilia available. The Moose Lodge is wheelchair accessible. Food and drink will be available through the Moose Lodge, including a Friday night fish fry and a complete menu. The theme is the “Spirit of America.

Advance tickets are $50 for two days and $25 for one day. Tickets at the door are $28. For tickets, call Bobbie at 716-968-3565. The contest begins at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, and is held from 1 to 5 p.m. Oct. 8. In addition to the Elvis competition, there will be a Champion’s Showcase at 7:15 p.m. and a Legends and Friends show at 8 p.m.
