Ellington Farman Library Hosting Six-Hour Driver Safety Program
ELLINGTON — The Ellington Farman Library is hosting a six-hour AARP Smart Driver Safety Program on Wednesday, June 22, and Thursday, June 23, in the library community room, 760 Thornton Road, Ellington, from 1 to 4 p.m. each day. The cost is $25 for AARP members and $30 for non-members. Participants are reminded to bring their driver’s license, AARP card if they are a member and a check or money order payable to AARP. This is the first course designed specifically for drivers over 50, however it can be taken by drivers of all ages. Course participants may be eligible to receive a discount on auto insurance premiums and a reduction of up to four points on their driving record. Construction On Fluvana-Townline Road Starting June 30
Construction crews will be rehabilitating Fluvanna-Townline Road, County Route 59, starting June 30 and ending Aug. 1. The road will not be closed. Expect lane closures with flaggers and signs during weekday hours from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. from June 30 through July 8 and from July 14 to Aug. 1. A detour will not be posted. Plan on taking an alternate route.

Ross Grange Members Gather Monday
Ross Grange will meet at the Falcons’ Nest in Falconer on Monday, June 13. Those attending should bring a sack lunch at 12:30 p.m. Beverages will be furnished. Plans for a display booth at the Chautauqua County Fair will be discussed. All interested are invited to attend.
Golden Agers To Meet At Legion
LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, at the Lakewood American Legion. Robert Johnston will be the speaker regarding the Chautauqua Region CRCF Trolley Project. Guests and new members are welcome to attend.
