No One Injured In Morning Fire

No one was injured after fire destroyed a town of Harmony residence.

Firefighters from Panama, Ashville and Busti were summoned Wednesday to 1136 Hoag Road around 3:50 a.m.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Fire Investigation Team was requested by the Panama Fire Department to assist with determining the cause. In a news release, the Sheriff’s Office said the fire began in the rear of the single-wide trailer.

“At this time the cause is being ruled undetermined pending further interviews and investigation,” the Sheriff’s Office said.

Shared Services Public Hearings To Be Held

MAYVILLE — The Chautauqua County Shared Services Initiative Panel recently met to discuss and identify projects within the 2021 Chautauqua County Shared Services Initiative Plan. Three public hearings will be conducted for residents to ask questions and offer comments about the plan. Public hearings will all be held on Monday, Dec. 13, at 10 a.m., 2 p.m., and 5 p.m. All public hearings will be held with social distancing protocols at the Gerace Office Building, Room 331, 3 N. Chautauqua Fire Auxiliary Bazaar To Be Held

A Christmas Bazaar will be held by the Chautauqua Fire Auxiliary on Friday, Dec. 3, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 4, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The bazaar will include crafts, baked goods, holiday items and more. The Chautauqua Fire Hall is located on Massey Avenue.
