JCC Board Of Trustees Meeting Tuesday

The next meeting of the Jamestown Community College Board of Trustees will be held today at 3 p.m. The meetings will be held via videoconference between the boardrooms on the Jamestown and Cattaraugus County campuses and the North County Extension Center in Dunkirk. Due to COVID concerns, attendees must register to attend the meeting with Marsha Hern at 338-1060 or marshahern@mail.sunyjcc.edu.

Fall Cleanup

Sunset Hill Cemetery Association will hold its fall cleanup. Those who wish to keep flowers must remove them by Friday, Oct. 1. Any remaining flowers will be disposed of by the maintenance department.

Spaghetti Dinner

FALCONER — Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Falconer will host a takeout spaghetti dinner on Thursday from 4:30 to 6 p.m. The price will be $10 for adults and $5 for children under 6. Dinner, bread, salad and dessert included. To order ahead, phone 665-2102. The church is located at 20 North Phetteplace St., Falconer. The proceeds will benefit the Mission Fund.

Programming For

Sept. 25 to Oct. 1

Access Chautauqua has announced its programming for Sept. 25 to Oct. 1.

Chautauqua Sunrise, guest hosted by Randy Burt, will have guests Christine Cheronis and Tiffany Erhard, Senior Medicare Patrol. The program is aired and streamed on Facebook Live at 9 a.m. Saturday, then repeats at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Fresh Perspectives, hosted by Gail Erb, features Jeremy Denovese, Ph.D.,retired associate professor of educational psychology, Cleveland State University. The program is at 3 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Repeat programming is typically re-aired throughout the week at other various time slots.

Access Chautauqua, formerly Access Channel 5, is available to cable viewers in the Chautauqua, Mayville, North Harmony, Portland, Ripley, Sherman, and Westfield areas, and can be found on cable channel 1301.

The programs may also be viewed after the initial airing at the station’s web site https://accesschautauquacountytv.org.

Blood Drive Thurs. Sept. 9-23

The Community Blood Bank will host a blood drive from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Jamestown Community College. Community Blood Bank partners with hospitals in Northwest Pennsylvania and Western New York to provide blood for patients in need. Those who are at least 17 years of age, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and are in good general health can may be eligible to donate blood. Our regular blood donors give consistently, but we simply need more people to decide to donate blood.” says Erin Tighe, Community Blood Bank community relations specialist. “Now is the time for you to help your neighbors by rolling up your sleeve and giving someone the gift of life.”
