Food Pantry Open On Sat.

KENNEDY — The food pantry and children’s clothing closet will be open on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. Anyone residing in the Falconer School District may use these services free of charge. Those who have not been vaccinated are asked to wear a mask and social distance. Enter the church through the lower handicap accessible entrance.

CWC Sets Its Annual Meeting

CELORON — The Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy will hold its 2021 annual meeting at the Harbor Hotel in Celoron on Wednesday, Aug. 11, from 5-7 p.m. This year’s featured speaker will be Vincent Cotrone, Urban Forester at Penn State Cooperative Extension, who will be presenting “The Role of Trees and Forests for Healthy Lakes and Streams.” In addition to the presentation, attendees will also learn about current and upcoming CWC conservation programs and activities and participate in CWC’s annual election of board directors. This year’s new and renewing nominees are Michael Jabot, Bill Locke, Craig Seger, Deborah Trefts and William Ward. The cost of attendance is $35 per person. Reservations are required. RSVPs and payments are due by 5 p.m. on Aug. 3. RSVPs can be made by going to eventbrite.com/e/2021-annual-meeting-tickets-163198399807 or calling the CWC office at 664-2166.

Ashville VFD Sets Barbecue

ASHVILLE — The town of North Harmony and Ashville Fire Department will host a open house and chicken barbecue from noon-4 p.m. Saturday on Stow Road. Meals will be available eat-in or drive through and cost $15 each. Tours of the new facility will be given in addition to an outside dining tent, music and fire department demonstrations.

Wild West Open House Is Sunday

SINCLAIRVILLE — There will be a Wild West open house Sunday from 2-6 p.m. along with tours of Wild Bill’s Old West Town, 39 Prospect St., Sinclairville. Refreshments will be served. All donations will go to fight cancer in memory of Roger Clark, who died June 5, 2021.

Outdoor Club To Ride Bikes

On Sunday the Allegheny Outdoor Club will ride bikes from Rousville to Franklin. The group will leave Betts Park at 1:30 p.m. or those interested can meet at the Mcclinick Well trail head in Rouseville at 2:30 p.m. The leader will be Earl Ross, who can be reached at 814-706-1198 for any questions.

Ice Cream Social Set For Aug. 10

The annual Ice Cream Social held by the Kiantone Congregational Church will be from 4:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, on the lawn by the church. Hot dogs, ice cream sundaes and homemade cake will be served. There will be a Grandma’s Attic and bake sale. “Ohio Star” quilt will be raffled to benefit missions.

Panama School Board To Hold Meeting Tues.

PANAMA — Members of the Panama Central School Board will hold a special meeting at 7 a.m. Tuesday in the board room. The meeting is open to the public.
