PTO To Hold Meeting Oct. 6

WESTFIELD — With newly elected leadership and a new name, the Westfield Academy and Central School Parent Teacher Organization, formerly Parent Connection, will hold its next meeting Tuesday, Oct. 6. The PTO’s mission is to enhance and support the educational experience for all students, to develop a closer connection between school and home by encouraging parent involvement, and to improve the school environment through volunteer and financial support. Executive board members are as follows: Celia Molitor, president; Jenny Montalbano, vice president; Johanna Kelley, treasurer; Kim Maras, media coordinator; Cassie Farrell, secretary; and Patty Bowen, parent representative. Offices Will Close For Training

FALCONER — The clerk’s and treasurer’s offices in Falconer will be closed Tuesday, Sept. 22, through Thursday, Sept. 24, for training. Normal business hours will resume on Friday, Sept. 25.

Sewer Board Panel To Meet

The Technical Committee of the South and Center Chautauqua Lake Sewer Districts will meet at 8 a.m. on Monday at the administrative board room.

Cemetery Group Sets Meeting

The Blockville Cemetery Association will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 28 at the Harmony Historical Society. All lot owners are welcomed to attended. Masks will be required at the meeting.

Board To Honor Eagle Scout

BUSTI — The Busti Town Board will meet at Lawson Park, 3359 Lawson Road, at 5:30 p.m. on Monday to recognize Eagle Scout candidate Drew Tracy for his Eagle Scout project.

Evergreen Assn. To Hold Meeting

SINCLAIRVILLE — The annual lot owners’ meeting of the Sinclairville Evergreen Cemetery Association will be held on Monday, Sept. 28, at 7 p.m. in the Sinclairville Fire Hall. Two trustees will be determined. CDC guidelines will be observed.

TEA Party To Meet Tuesday

The Southern Tier TEA Party Patriots will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Lakewood American Legion, 174 Chautauqua Ave. A major topic of discussion will cover the directive by President Donald Trump to ban critical race theory training sessions in offices of the federal government, including the U.S military. Also cultural Marxism as a relatively new form of Marxism will be covered. There will also be a follow-up to the informative discussion the county election commissioners shared last month on voting. The public is welcome to attend.

VFW Will Hold Chicken

Barbecue

CHERRY CREEK — The Cherry Creek VFW, 7165 Route 83, will host a Chiavetta’s chicken barbecue starting at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26. The cost is $11 per dinner.
