Mobile Pantry Truck To Be At Ashville UM

ASHVILLE — The Food Bank of Western New York Mobile Pantry Truck from Falconer will be at the Ashville United Methodist Church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon and 3 to 5 p.m. The truck brings fresh produce and some staple items. To receive free food, only proof of address from the following ZIP codes is required: Ashville 14710, Bemus Point 14712, Celoron 14720, Lakewood 14750, Niobe 14758, Panama 14767, Stow 14785 and anyone who lives in the town of Busti. Wear masks and keep a six-foot distance while in line. The food will be pre-boxed like last month. A volunteer will sign recipients in and take their box to their car. St. Luke’s Thrift Shop Expands Price Reductions

St. Luke’s Thrift Shop, 409 Pine St. between East Fourth and East Fifth streets in Jamestown, announced further reductions of summer clothing for ladies including plus and junior sizes, men and children. All adult clothing is on sale for $1; children’s clothing for 50 cents. The shop is open for sales and receiving Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; receiving only Tuesday 9 a.m. to noon. Off street parking is available in the church lot off East Fifth Street. At this time the entrance is on Pine Street.

County Planning Board Meeting Set Sept. 1

MAYVILLE — The Chautauqua County Planning Board’s monthly meeting will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1 at the Gerace Office Building in the legislative chambers, 3 N. Erie St., Mayville. Planning Board meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month and are always open to the public. Blood Drive Set At UPMC

The Community Blood Bank is holding a blood drive Thursday, from 1-5 p.m. at UPMC Chautauqua, 207 Foote Ave., Jamestown. To schedule an appointment, call 450-0376. The CBB implemented precautionary measures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all donors, staff and volunteers. Those precautionary measures include all donors and staff members required to wear masks; temperatures of all personnel at the blood collection location are taken prior to entering the blood drive, extra sanitation measures are taken in between every donor and the chairs; and collection beds are spread further.

Tea Party To Hold Meeting

“Mail-in voting: The Pros and Cons,” will be the featured topic to discuss on Tuesday, at 7 p.m. at the general meeting of the Southern Tier TEA Party Patriots held at the Lakewood American Legion, 194 Chautauqua Ave. From the Chautauqua County Board of Elections, Democrat Commissioner Norm Green and Republican Commissioner Brian Abrams, will present their points of view on mail-in voting and clarify what makes mail-in voting different from absentee ballots.
