Missing Teen Returns Home

The Jamestown Police Department said a teenager who had been considered missing has been returned home. In a brief statement Monday morning, the department said Gianna L. Coleman, 14, was home as of last week. She had been reported missing since Feb. 13.

Sinclairville Board Meets

SINCLAIRVILLE — The village of Sinclairville will hold a board meeting at 7 p.m. today in the village office, 8 Lester St., Sinclairville, to discussion opening the Village Recreation Grounds.

Busti Fire Dept. Auxiliary Meets Tonight At 7 p.m.

BUSTI — The Busti Fire Department Auxiliary will hold its regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. today. Face masks are required and the meeting will abide by the CDC guidelines for COVID 19.

BPU Officials Say Discolored Water On Friday

Jamestown Board of Public Utilities water division officials said water customers in Celoron and west toward Lakewood, Cottage Park and beyond could see discolored water on Friday, especially between 8-10 a.m. Owners of a warehouse at 101 Jackson Ave., Celoron, have alerted the BPU that quarterly fire system water testing will take place at the facility. Once discolored, water could take 12 to 24 hours to clear. BPU water customers in Celoron and west will want to avoid doing laundry until their water appears clear.

School Supply Give-Away To Be Held On Sept. 6

The Los Contrincantes Car Club and Bike Crew will be hosting its second annual school supply giveaway at 3 p.m. Sept. 6 at Jackson-Taylor Park in Jamestown. The event will be first-come, first-serve. The club thanks the community for its support.

Friday Fire Ruled Undetermined

A fire that destroyed a mobile trailer Friday has been ruled undetermined. Capt. Rich Telford of the Chautauqua County Fire Investigation Team said a few follow-up interviews were being conducted after fire broke out around 8:20 p.m. at the Walnut Creek Mobile Home Park. Firefighters from Maple Springs, Ellery Center and Dewittville were summoned to the scene. Telford said the trailer was vacant at the time of the fire. He did note that electricity was still hooked up to the residence.

Mozart Club Will Not Meet Until November

The Mozart Club of Jamestown will not meet for its annual August Tea and October program with Philomel of Warren due to COVID-19. A Nov. 11 Mozart board meeting is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church.

PVCS Board Retreat Thursday

SOUTH DAYTON — The Pine Valley Central School Board of Education will hold a board retreat on Thursday at 5:30 pm in the elementary school cafetorium. No action will be taken.
