Carrol Historical Society Set To Meet Monday

The Carroll Historical Society will meet for members only Monday at 6:30 p.m. in their facility. A discussion on tiling the reception area floor will be the main topic. Members will also be updated on where the society stands at this point with the pandemic. Social distance seating will be available. Members who do not wish to attend, but wants any information on the society can call 569-5365 ext. 8 between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 720-7611. Membership dues are still due to any members who has not paid and can be drop off dues during the day at the society or mail them to Carroll Historical Society PO Box 227 Frewsburg, NY 14738.

Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers Set Meeting Tuesday

LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers will meet on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Lakewood American Legion. Those attending are asked to enter by the front door and sign in. Masks and social distancing will be followed. The guest will be Diana Butcher from the Salvation Army who will speak about the new shelter and domestic violence. The Sept. 15 meeting will include a dinner and begin at 12:30 p.m. at the legion. Reservations and dinner cost of $6 per member will be collected at Tuesday’s meeting. Westfield

Quilters’ Guild To Require Masks

The Westfield Quilters’ Guild will meet Thursday, Aug. 20, at the Westfield YWCA. Social time begins at 6 p.m. and the meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. In cooperation with the Y’s policies during the COVID regulations, social distancing and masks will be required. There is no planned program for this month, so plan to bring your beautiful creations for another show and tell. Last month, 40 items were shared with the small group.

Historical Society Informational Meeting Set Tues.

The Harmony Historical Society will have an informational meeting on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. The group will meet outside and no refreshments will be served. Plans will be discussed for the Sept. 19 yard sale, quilt show and Panama Fire Department chicken barbecue. COVID-19 guidelines will be followed. Social distancing and masks will be in effect.

JCC Board Of Trustees Set To Meet Via Zoom

The next meetings of the Jamestown Community College Board of Trustees will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. via Zoom webinar technology. To register, visit www.sunyjcc.edu/events.

Board To Meet Via Live Stream

The Chautauqua Region Economic Development Corporation board will meet following the county Industrial Development Agency board meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 25, via live stream on YouTube instead of a public meeting open for the public to attend in person. Members of the public may view the board meeting by visiting YouTube and searching “County of Chautauqua IDA.” Once on the webpage, viewers can click on “videos” to watch the live stream. Minutes of the board meeting will transcribed and posted on the agency’s website once approved by the board. The agenda for this meeting will be posted to ccida.com under “News” and “Agenda” prior to the start of the meeting.
