JCA Postpones Spring Season

Due to restrictions aimed at inhibiting the spread of COVID 19, the Jamestown Concert Association has postponed the remainder of its spring season of concerts. The association had already postponed its March 20 presentation of baritone Suchan Kim with pianist Laetitia Ruccolo. The board of directors has recently announced the postponement of Friday’s presentation of Italian-born pianist Fabio Menchetti and May 15’s presentation of the Mirari Brass Quintet. Mirari has been tentatively rescheduled for Friday, Oct. 9, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. Concert association officials hope to reschedule the remaining two concerts for the fall. All 2019-20 season membership passes will be honored for these rescheduled events.

The COVID-19 pandemic left the Basket Company with huge overstocks caused by the closing of most its wholesale accounts. The AM Rotary Club is looking for new members. For more information, call Scott Sawyer at 720-0094, Bill Burley at 720-1321 or Scott Johnson at 485-1226. Current meetings are on Zoom video. Call Sawyer, Burley or Johnson for details. Regular meetings will start again when the pandemic is over.
