Randolph SWAN Site In Need Of Volunteers

RANDOLPH — The Cattaraugus County Department of the Aging’s Retired and Senior Volunteer Program is in need of volunteers to help at the Randolph Senior Wellness and Nutrition (SWAN) site, located in the Randolph Municipal Building, 72 Main St., Randolph. The Randolph SWAN site is a place where Randolph-area seniors can come together to socialize, have a meal and participate in activities. The site is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nutrition site volunteers typically help with packing Meals on Wheels for delivery, cleaning tables and washing dishes. Legion Post To Host Benefit

LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood Legion Post at 174 Chautauqua Ave., Lakewood, will be hosting a benefit on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. to raise money to help Liberty’s Way to rebuild following a recent fire. There will be music, a basket giveaway and a spaghetti dinner for a $10 donation. Music is provided by Bill Ward and Amanda Barton, Deep Fried and Dipped in Honey, St. Vith, Alex Kate’s and Danny Shanahan. The public is welcome to attend.

Health And Safety Fair Set Monday

The Resource Center is hosting a free Health and Safety Fair on Monday on the first floor of TRC’s Michael J. Raymond Center, located at 75 Jones and Gifford Avenue, Jamestown, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Information will be available regarding the services The Resource Center provides health services to anyone in the community. A number of external organizations will be represented as well, including the Chautauqua Children’s Safety Education Village; Chautauqua County Humane Society; Cornell Cooperative Extension; Healthy Community Alliance; Jamestown Fire Department; Meals on Wheels; UPMC Chautauqua’s Center for Imaging & Medical Arts; and the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) nutrition program operated by Catholic Charities. There also will be information about autism, Down syndrome, essential oils, lead screening, and poison prevention.

Lakewood Village Board To Meet

LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood Village Board will hold an organizational meeting Monday at 6:15 p.m. The regular meeting will follow. Mayor Randall Holcomb said work session meetings will take place the second and fourth Monday of each month at 6:15 p.m.

Blood Drive To Be Held Monday

WESTFIELD — An American Red Cross blood drive will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday at Eason Hall, 23 Elm St., Westfield. The American Red Cross currently has a critical need for blood donors of all blood types – especially type O. To make an appointment, use the Red Cross Blood Donor App at www.redcrossblood.org/blood-donor-app.html, visit RedCrossBlood.org or call 800-733-2767. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
