Blood Drive Being Held Today At The Homestead

GERRY — The Community Blood Bank will host a blood drive from noon to 4 p.m. today at The Homestead, Heritage Ministries conference room, 4600 Route 60, Gerry. “We are encouraging everyone to come donate during National Blood Donor Month,” said Jaclyn Seymour, community relations specialist for the Community Blood Bank. “It’s not only an opportunity to help save local lives, but it’s an opportunity to learn more about the importance of blood donation.” The Community Blood Bank is the exclusive blood supplier to UPMC Chautauqua and Westfield Memorial Hospital, so the blood stays in the local community. The Community Blood Bank is in urgent need for all blood types, particularly blood Type O+ and Type O-.

Alleghany Outdoor Club To Meet Thursday

The Allegheny Outdoor Club will be having its planning meeting for the first three months of the year on Thursday at 6:30 pm. at the First Lutheran Church at the corner of Third and East street, Warren, Pa. Alzheimer’s Caregiver Group To Be Held

War Veterans Membership Meeting Set

The War Veterans Board of Directors has scheduled the organization’s annual membership meeting for Jan. 16. The meeting will be held in the War Veterans Castle Room at 3431 Fluvanna Ave. The meeting is for veteran members in good standing (paid members) and will start at 6:30 p.m. No one will be admitted after that time.

Library Board To Meet Thursday

The Lakewood Memorial Library board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, in the library. The meeting is open to the public.

Five-Hour Course To Be Hosted Saturday, Feb. 1

RANDOLPH — Randolph Central School will host a five-hour, pre-licensing course on Saturday, Feb. 1, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Call 358-7008 during regular school hours to register with a valid learner’s permit on hand. The course fee is $30, and class size is limited.

Chautauqua County Board Of Health To Meet

MAYVILLE — The Chautauqua County Board of Health will meet on Thursday, Jan. 16, at 6 p.m. in the HRC Building, fourth floor conference room, 7 N. Erie St., Mayville. The public is welcome to attend.
